Then we arrived at the London bridge. This bridge was a little underwhelming, but I got to sing Fergie's "London Bridge" song so that was fun. I enjoyed that. Then we crossed over and headed straight for the Borough Market. There was a HUGE crowd but the market was worth it. We sampled tons of cheeses, bread, treats, granola, and balsamic vinegars. My favorite thing was the Grilled Cheese, which is called Toasted bread and Cheese here. Emily and I split one and we were in heaven.
After exploring the market we left to the Tower Bridge. This bridge is super pretty and we made it across just in time to see it rise for a tall ship to pass through. We sat and took some pictures and had a few random asian women want to be photographed with us which was really weird, because when we agreed they would get SO excited.
Today I noticed 3 smells that were always looming: the smell of cigarette smoke, the smell of beer, and this nameless smell that is a mix between rotting fruit and butt. It will be interesting for my nose to get accustomed to these smells.
After crossing the bridge we decided to do another London Walk (A Walk on the Wild Side) that I will write about in another post because it is part of an assignment for my London Walks class.
